Healthy & Delicious Snack Recipes that are Loved by Kids & Adults Alike


Kids are always hungry. It is hard to keep away kids from munching sugar or sodium-laden snacks. The best way is to have a meal plan prepped for your kids. Healthy snacks are a better way to satisfy hunger than store bought junk. Check out these healthy and delicious snack recipes for your growing kids:
 Hummus & Olive Toasties:
Toast some slices of crusty sourdough bread. On the first piece of toast, drizzle a bit of olive oil and top up with hummus, roasted cherry tomatoes, basil leaves. Sprinkle some sumac and indulge in this tasty snack. Another way is to add fresh avocado slices and top with some lemon juice, chili flakes, and chopped cilantro.
• Sweet & Savory Rice Cakes:
Rice cakes make for versatile snack recipes. Place three rice cakes on a serving dish. On the first one, spread some hummus and top with sundried tomatoes, and fresh basil leaves. On the second one, spread some cream cheese and top with caramelized mushrooms and fresh dill. For the sweet one, top a rice cake with unsweetened hazelnut butter and top with banana slices and cinnamon powder.
• Korean Rice Poke Bowl:
To make the sauce, mix honey, miso paste, salt, soy sauce, lemon juice, chili flakes, and pepper. To assemble the bowl, add cooked brown basmati rice, pickled ginger, crispy baked tofu, edamame beans and drizzle the sauce.
• Zucchini & Parmesan Fritters:
Mix some grated zucchini, salt, pepper, ground garlic, thyme, basil, flour, parmesan cheese. Scoop the batter and shallow fry in olive oil until golden brown. Serve hot with a side of Greek yogurt & harissa dip.
• Dips & Root Veggie Chips:
To make the classic guacamole dip, mix avocado, coriander, salt, pepper, lemon juice, onion, tomato. Blitz in a blender for 5-10 seconds for a smoother consistency. To make hummus dip, mix hummus with spicy harissa paste and top with pomegranates and mint. Bake some sweet potato and beetroot with a touch of olive oil, and paprika. Season with salt and pepper while it is hot. Serve these delicious dips with a side of sweet potato chips to dunk into it.
• Banana Popsicles:
Slice the banana diagonally and spread some unsweetened almond butter. Drizzle some melted dark chocolate. Top with some roasted almond flakes and fresh berries. Sprinkle some toasted coconut flakes. Refrigerate for at least two hours before serving.
These recipes are made with fresh ingredients and quick to prepare. Make a bigger batch and store in the fridge for frequent snacks.
