Healthy & Delicious Snacks for Your Kids


Kids love snacking and so does adults. However, it can be challenging at times to cater to the constant snack needs of your children. Kids tend to eat whatever is readily available in hand, a bag of chips, cookies, etc. Check out these easy and healthy snacks that are wholesome that your kids are going to love:
 Loaded Toasties:
Toast some slices of crusty sourdough bread. On the first piece of toast, drizzle a bit of olive oil and top up with hummus, roasted cherry tomatoes, basil leaves. Sprinkle some sumac and indulge in this tasty snack. On the second toast, add fresh avocado slices and top with some lemon juice, chili flakes, and chopped cilantro.
• Savory Rice Cakes:
Rice cakes are crunchy, munchy and makes for a quick snack. Place three rice cakes on a serving dish. On the first one, spread some hummus and top with sundried tomatoes, and fresh basil leaves. On the second one, spread some cream cheese and top with caramelized mushrooms and fresh dill. For the sweet one, top a rice cake with unsweetened hazelnut butter and top with banana slices and cinnamon powder.
 Healthy Avocado Rice Bowl:
To make the sauce, mix honey, tahini paste, salt, soy sauce, lemon juice, chili flakes, and pepper. To assemble the bowl, add cooked brown rice, pickled ginger, crispy baked tofu, edamame beans. Top with chopped avocados and drizzle some sauce. This is a healthy recipe to serve to give to your kids.
• Kale & Zucchini Fritters:
Grate zucchini in a bowl. Add some chopped kale in it. To it, add salt, pepper, ground garlic, thyme, basil, chickpea flour, parmesan cheese. Scoop the batter and shallow fry in olive oil until golden brown. Serve hot with a side of Greek yogurt and sumac dip.
 Healthy Dips with Veggie Chips:
To make the classic guacamole dip, mix avocado, coriander, salt, pepper, lemon juice, onion, tomato. Blitz in a blender for 5-10 seconds for a smoother consistency. To make hummus dip, mix hummus with spicy harissa paste and top with pomegranates and mint. Bake some sweet potato and beetroot with a touch of olive oil, and paprika. Season with salt and pepper while it is hot. Serve these delicious dips with a side of healthy vegetable chips to dunk into it.
