Ingredients:

  • 1 cup brown basmati rice
  • 3 cups water
  • Salt to taste

Start by washing and draining the rice till the water runs clear. Preferably soak the rice for about 60 minutes before cooking to fluff better.

Add rice and water to a wide and deep microwave safe bowl. Add salt to your taste and cook on 100% microwave power for 10 minutes uncovered. Take out after 10 minutes and stir the mix. Now put it back again for 20 minutes at 50% power and cover the pot. Rest after 20 minutes for another 10 minutes and fluff with a fork and serve.
