Brown Curd Rice 

Steam the Daawat brown rice and set aside. In a pan, sauté some mustard seeds, star anise, cinnamon sticks, curry leaf, kokum in coconut oil. Once the spices become aromatic, add beaten curd. Add the rice and mix well. Serve in a bowl. Garnish with toasted peanuts, crispy curry leaves, fresh coriander leaves, and pomegranate seeds. 

 

Brown Curd Rice

Daawat offers quick-cooking, full-bran brown basmati rice. To increase the absorption of brown rice benefits, you can soak the rice in water for 12 hours before cooking. 

 

Coconut & Lemongrass Rice

Start with cooking organic brown basmati rice in a mix of water and coconut milk. Add some freshly smashed lemongrass stalks. In a separate pan, add mustard seeds, asafoetida, chana dal, and curry leaves and temper the spices until fragrant. Add some peanuts and roast until golden. Lemon & Turmeric Rice

This preparation is quick to make with a few pantry staples. This tangy, sweet, and sour recipe tastes delicious accompanied by coconut chutney. Steam brown rice in water until cooked and set aside. Sauté some peanuts in sesame oil until golden and crunchy. Add a handful of cashew nuts, mustard seeds, chana dal, mustard seeds, asafoetida, and turmeric powder. When the spices turn aromatic, add cooked rice. Add freshly squeezed juice of 2 lemons and some zest. 

 

Tamarind Rice

To make the tamarind pulp, soak the pods in hot water. Once soaked, squeeze out the pulp to make a thick pulp. Sauté some coriander seeds, mustard seeds, urad daal, chana daal, curry leaves, and peanuts. Add asafoetida and the tamarind pulp. When the mix thickens, add the cooked brown rice and stir well. Serve hot with mint curd.
