Malnutrition is the cause of many deaths in India. Even though we eat, we sometimes struggle to get optimum nutrition. Our eating habits are influenced by our lifestyle choices. We often eat food that is comforting and not focus on the nutritional benefits.
Recommended Daily Allowance is the average daily intake enough to meet the nutrition requirement of a healthy person. Anyone consuming lesser than the RDA levels is at a risk of having nutritional deficiencies. The major types of nutritional disorders are-

Vitamin B12 is a crucial vitamin present in meat and dairy products. Include a serving of nuts and seeds in your diet to boost your mineral levels. Add pumpkin seeds and watermelon seeds to your bowl of cereal every day. Nuts like walnuts, almonds and cashew are the best source of trace minerals and omega 3 fatty acids. Flax seeds and chia seeds are the best plant-based source of omega 3 fatty acids. Beans and lentils are also rich in essential minerals.
